The series is based on the life of Dr. Khalil Hassan Khalil, a professor of political economy in the pre-1952 revolution, who belonged to the faithful of Eastern Province villages; the series tracks his continuing suffering with poverty and social injustice, while struggling to be a university professor, to improve his social conditions and achieve his dream.
